National CHW Policy Coalition

Community health workers and allies united to build power and move policy

We’re a national, CHW-led coalition working to win professional recognition and sustainable financing for community health workers.

Together, we work at the state and federal levels to build a future where every community across the U.S. is healthier because of CHWs, and CHWs have the power to shape the systems in which they work.

Building on a strong foundation

CHWs have shown up on Capitol Hill year after year, and each CHW Hill Day has been bigger than the last. On October 26, 2026 we launch, ready to build on that momentum.

What we do

We build CHW power and move policy at every level, together.

CHW-led by design

CHWs hold the majority on our Steering Committee, and a CHW Advisory Committee keeps frontline voices at the center of our strategy. Allies are essential partners, contributing expertise, resources and thought partnership in support of CHW-driven strategy.
